What RPS Offers

Our specialized trainings are crafted for first responder agencies to build foundational peer support skills. These sessions empower peer support teams with clinically informed tools and practical strategies to manage occupational stress effectively.

Training Overview

RPS of SAZ provides no-cost, accessible training opportunities to support departments and agencies across Southern Arizona

  • All trainings are open to all first responder agency personnel

  • Minimum of quarterly trainings on a variety of relevant topics, with one full peer support training per year

  • Integration of skills for sustainable peer support

  • Interactive scenarios and roleplaying for real-world application

  • Additional trainings can be added based on department requests

Consultation Group  Overview

Structured monthly gatherings that provide active peer supporters with a clinically-guided space. These groups prevent burnout by offering a professional venue to discuss challenges and share best practices.

  • Recurring monthly meeting schedule
  • Facilitated by licensed clinical professionals
  • Safe environment for peer support personnel
  • Shared learning and de-briefing
Resources & Clinical Backup

RPS of SAZ will continue to build a centralized resource hub to support first responders in finding trusted tools, referrals, and support. 

  • Access to a regional resource directory with a diverse range of tools (clinical support, crisis support, inpatient programs, etc.)
  • Access to mentor cards allowing for wider access to support across departments
  • Peer support tools and templates
